Herby Citrus Pulled Pork
It’s time to get your slow cooker out of hibernation to make this delicious pulled pork. The hands-on preparation will take you less than 5 minutes and after a few hours in the slow cooker you’ll be rewarded with tender meat packed with flavour.

What do I need?
- 1 ½ kg pork shoulder
- 2 oranges, zested and juiced
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- Handful of fresh thyme
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 200 mL water
How do I make it?
- Add pork to the slow cooker or a deep walled roasting pan. Combine orange and lemon juice, zests, thyme, oregano, paprika, garlic and water in a jug or bowl and pour over pork.
- Cook in slow cooker on low for 8 hours, or in the oven covered with foil at 150C for 5 hours, adding more water as needed.
- Remove pork from slow cooker or oven and use two forks to shred meat.
- Serve with tortillas and salad, or your choice of sides.
