What do I need?
1 tsp olive oil
450 g beef mince
1 brown onion, finely chopped
2 x 400 g cans crushed tomatoes
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
How do I make it?
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion, cook for 1 minute, then add mince. Cook, breaking up the mince with a spoon, until the mince is browned and the onion has softened, about 8 minutes.
Add crushed tomatoes and stir in garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. Put a lid on the saucepan and reduce heat to low. Simmer, stirring often for 15-20 minutes, then remove from heat and serve with pasta of your choice.
