What’s the serving size?
What do I need?
450 g spaghetti
Freshly ground black pepper
1/3 cup good quality olive oil
5 garlic cloves, peeled and thinly sliced
¼ cup finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
Parmesan cheese for serving, grated
How do I make it?
Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil over medium-high heat. Add ½ teaspoon salt and the spaghetti. Cook according to the packet directions until al dente. Drain spaghetti, reserving ½ cup of the water and set aside.
Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add garlic slices and cook, stirring until the garlic is lightly browned, about 1 minute.
Remove pan from heat and add spaghetti and parsley and toss to coat. Add some of the reserved pasta water and toss again. Season and serve with grated parmesan.
