Chocolate Coated Fruity Popcorn Bars
You’ll be surprised how easy it is to whip up a batch of these naturally sweet popcorn bars. Choose your favourite dried fruit or a combination of dried fruits to customise these to your taste - we used a mix of dried apricots and dried cranberries.

What do I need?
- 6 cups popped popcorn
- 2 cups dried fruit/s of your choice, finely chopped
- 2/3 cup honey
- 60g butter
- 12 dates, pitted and chopped
- 100g dark chocolate, melted
How do I make it?
- Grease and line a slice tin approx. 18cm x 30cm.
- Place popcorn and all but a small handful of the dried fruit in a large bowl and set aside.
- Combine honey, butter and dates in a saucepan over medium heat and stir until melted. Remove from heat and pour over the popcorn and dried fruit and stir to combine.
- Firmly press the popcorn mixture into the prepared pan and brush over the melted chocolate. Sprinkle the remaining dried fruit on top and place in the fridge and chill until firm. When set, slice into bars.
