Moroccan Sweet and Spicy Prawns
Give your spice rack a workout by making your own Moroccan-inspired seasoning for prawns. Ultra-easy to make, this dish will be on the table in under 20 minutes and uses just one bowl and one pan to make.

What do I need?
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp ground coriander
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- 1 ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp chilli powder
- ½ tsp brown sugar
- ¼ tsp ground turmeric
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- Pinch freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 700 g green prawns, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
How do I make it?
- Add cumin, coriander, ginger, paprika, salt, chilli powder, brown sugar, turmeric, cinnamon, cayenne, black pepper, and garlic to a large bowl and mix to combine.
- Add prawns to bowl and toss to coat in the seasoning.
- Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Working in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding, add a little oil to the pan and when hot, add prawns.
- Cook prawns for 3 minutes per side.
- Serve with rice, couscous, or a fresh green salad.
