Dessert doesn’t come any simpler than this. Using just four ingredients, you’ll be able to whip up a batch of these Pineapple Puffs in under 30 minutes. They’re great on their own but next level yummy with a scoop of your favourite ice cream!

Makes 8 puffs
What do I need?
450 g can pineapple slices in syrup
2 sheets ready rolled puff pastry
1 egg, lightly beaten
¼ cup white sesame seeds
How do I make it?
Preheat oven to 180C.
Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Drain pineapple slices and pat dry with paper towel.
Cut pastry into 2 ½-centimetre wide strips.
Starting from the centre of a pineapple slice, wrap a pastry strip around the pineapple slice, weaving in and out and leaving a 1-centimetre space between strips. Place end of pastry on the underside of the pineapple slice.
Repeat for remaining pineapple slices.
Place wrapped pineapple slices on prepared baking tray, leaving a 5 centimetre gap between each slice.
Brush slices with egg wash, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
