Pear and Apple Chips

Want a healthier alternative for a school lunch box snack? These fruity chips are the answer. They are fabulously simple to make and are a great recipe to get the kids to help with.

What do I need?

  • 2 firm pears
  • 2 apples
  • ½ tsp mixed spice

How do I make it?

  1. Preheat oven to 140C.
  2. Thinly slice apples and pears and pick out any seeds.
  3. Place slices on a lined baking tray and sprinkle over spice mix.
  4. Bake for 40 minutes, remove from oven and set aside to cool down. The chips won’t crisp up until they are completely cooled. Store them in an airtight container and eat within three days.
