Grain Bowls
Healthy and tasty school lunches don’t have to be time or labour intensive. Grain bowls are a fantastic way to give kids an interesting lunch. These are fully customisable so you can mix and match grains and toppings to suit your child’s taste. If you’re looking for a shortcut, use ready-to-serve steamed grain or rice pouches that just need a couple of minutes in the microwave.

What do I need?
Our lunch box selections:
- Lunch 1. Quinoa, barley, shredded carrot, steamed broccolini, roast chicken, spinach & cashew dip, broad beans, chives, olive oil, lemon, salt, and pepper
- Lunch 2. Puy lentils, red rice, avocado, hot smoked trout, celery, radish, quail eggs, broad beans, lime, nigella seeds, olive oil, salt, and pepper
Alternative topping suggestions:
- Rice or grains of your choice or a ready-to-eat steamed pouch
- Tuna, cooked or smoked meat, fish or poultry, boiled egg, cheese, black beans, tomato, beetroot, cucumber, spring onions, sultanas, baby spinach, peas, corn, herbs, toasted seeds and nuts, hummus, dips, Greek yoghurt, vinaigrette, balsamic vinegar, sweet chilli sauce.
How do I make it?
- Cook grains according to packet directions and set aside to cool.
- Add toppings and dressing of your choice.
