What do I need?

  • 1-2 cups spinach
  • 1 frozen banana (peel, slice, and freeze)
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 cup vanilla or plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • Assorted toppings of your choice such as kiwifruit, pumpkin seeds and buckwheat.

How do I make it?

  1. Add the first five ingredients to the blender in the order listed. Blend on high for at least 2 minutes or until smooth. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed. The smoothie will be very thick.
  2. Pour into a bowl and add toppings. Store any leftover smoothie covered in the refrigerator for up to 8-10 hours.

Note: to get a super-thick texture for bowl-style smoothies you need to use frozen fruit. If you’re not a banana fan, try frozen mango.
