Give your kids an energy boost with this homemade trail mix packed full of healthy fruits, nuts and seeds. You can omit the nuts if your child’s school is nut-free and substitute with sunflower seeds or simply add more of the other ingredients.

Makes 6 half cup serves

What do I need?

  • 1 cup dried apricots
  • ½ cup pumpkin seeds
  • ½ cup almonds
  • ½ cup raisins or sultanas
  • ½ cup pretzels

How do I make it?

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. To serve, divide into half cup portions and place in lunch box.
