Kataifi Halloumi Skewers

What do I need?

  • 300 g halloumi cheese
  • 200 g Kataifi pastry
  • Vegetable oil for frying

How do I make it?

  1. Cut halloumi into rectangular batons about 10-centimetres long x 2-centimetres wide. Insert a skewer into the halloumi. Set aside.
  2. Lay Kataifi pastry on a flat surface and use your fingers to lightly separate the strands.
  3. Place a halloumi skewer onto the pastry and roll the halloumi tightly in the pastry. Repeat for remaining skewers.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan and shallow fry the skewers until golden brown all over. Serve warm.
