Who’s who in the Crew – Hill Street West Hobart 10th Birthday Edition  

Hill Street West Hobart’s store on the corner of Hill and Arthur Streets is turning 10 and as part of the festivities we’re celebrating some of our longest serving team members at that store. Some of them go way back to the earliest days of Hill Street. 
 

This week we chatted with our Store Manager and Area Manager extraordinaire, someone with more energy than a delivery of Red Bull, the one and only Omiros. Read on to find out what makes him tick.
 

How long have you worked at Hill Street West Hobart? 10 years 

What was the store like when you joined? It was a brand-new store relocated from our previous location at 109 Hill Street.

What has been the biggest change? It’s a bigger store, with more products, it’s better merchandised and we see more customers than ever before! 

What makes Hill Street West Hobart special? We are one big family.

Who is your favourite team-mate and why? Sylvia, I can trust her with anything and she takes everything on board.

All-time funniest thing that has happens at work? The morning chats I have with Marco, Nektarios and their cousin Nick K who is our Fresh Produce Buyer.

Most memorable day or event at Hill Street? When Hill Street West Hobart was nominated and won IGA’s best store of the year, nationally, twice!

What’s kept you coming back to work each day? My team and my customers.

What are you most proud of in your time at Hill Street? How I developed my skills, and the trust I get from senior management – it feels like family.
