Sneak Peek - Hill Street Devonport’s Meet the Producers, here’s what you’ll be tasting…

We’re very excited about our Meet the Producers Night at Hill Street Devonport on Friday 21 February from 3 – 6.30 pm.

Supporting our local growers and makers is what Hill Street has always been about. Our Meet the Producer Nights are a chance for you to come along and meet the farmers, makers and growers who supply our store. Enjoy free tastings and discover your new favourite products!

Here are just a few of the producers you’ll meet and products you can sample.

  • Pistachio Papi

    Pistachio Papi

    This delectable pistachio nut spread has taken Australia by storm. Experience what the fuss is about at their stall which will be laden with delicious ways to eat this amazing product. Our favourite – spread inside a Pigeon Whole croissant!

  • Ashgrove Cheese

    Ashgrove Cheese

    Tassie dairy superstars Ashgrove will have a selection of their much-awarded cheeses to taste including their signature Cloth Matured Farm Cheddar, Cloth Matured Farm Red Leicester and Smoked Red Leicester, Hermiston Farm Bush Lancashire, Double Gloucester and Rubicon Red, as well as their extremely moreish Cheese Crunchettes and AmazeBalls.

    Makers Mel and Michael from Relish Café in Launceston will be loading up their car with their wares to bring you tastes of their delicious OMG Muesli, signature Relish, Salted Popcorn and Barbie Sauce. Start your love affair with this brand – one taste and you’ll be smitten.

    Tim and Alison Mason’s products from their small batch jam and relish business at Shearwater are an institution at Hill Street Devonport. Here’s your chance to meet with the makers of your favourite jams and relishes and maybe get some tips for your own preserving at home!

  • Anvers Chocolate

    Anvers Chocolate

    Owner Igor Van Gerwen was born in Belgium where his love of chocolate began. At the age of 20 he began sharing this love with Tasmania and soon established Anvers Chocolates, which has supplied Hill Street for more than 23 years (that’s before Hill Street was called Hill Street!). Come and meet Igor’s team and taste away!

  • Wattle Hill Olives

    Wattle Hill Olives

    This family-owned olive grove at Latrobe is run by locals Emily, Coen and Trish. Tending over 2000 olive trees across 21 acres, they produce award-wining olive oil from eight varieties of olive. Come and say hi and taste this delightful local olive oil.

  • Juicy Isle

    Juicy Isle

    And if you’re thirsty after tasting all these delicacies the team from Juicy Isle will be there to refresh you with their range of quenching juices, mineral waters and sparkling apple, raspberry, blackcurrant and ginger beer.
