Pistachio Papi is a delicious spread made with pistachio nuts – hence the gorgeous pale green colour. It’s deliciously creamy, sweet and nutty and is incredible on everything: spread on pancakes and crepes, inside filled pastries, in all sorts of desserts (think: a whole new take on Tiramisu!), inside croissants (our Devonport Store Manager Jay’s favourite), sandwiching yoyo biscuits together… the sweet, creamy, pistachio ideas just keep coming.
Pistachio Papi was brought to Australia as a concept by “Pistachio Papi” himself, aka Melbourne-based Mark Abdelmalik, having discovered the delights of pistachio spread himself in Italy and seeing a gap in the Australian market. With some excellent branding and social media promotion (not to mention lots of pop-up tasting opportunities at local food retailers) the brand has taken off. And our verdict – it’s absolutely delicious and once tasted, will become a staple in your pantry.
