Kitchen Helper - How to find recipe inspiration

We’ve all been there – it’s 6pm and all you have in the refrigerator is a packet of beef mince, some odd veggies and a mind as blank as a sheet of paper. Hamburgers, again?
We have a great hack to help you find some dinner-time inspiration in a hurry. Read on to find out how.
When we’re busy, it’s easy to get stuck in a rut and make the same old things, on rotation. Or we might have an excess of something which we need to cook before it spoils. For times like this, it would be great to have a way to find some easy recipe suggestions for the main ingredient you have on hand.
Our suggestion – visit our Hill Street Recipe Collection. The best thing about it is that it has a great search function, so all you have to do is type in the main ingredient you’d like to cook with, and our site will search up dozens of recipes containing that ingredient, to help you whip up dinner in no time flat.
To try it out, we did searched ‘chicken breast’ and 23 recipes came up: everything from a family friendly Crispy Chicken Schnitzel with Greek Lemon Potatoes to a spicy Thai Chicken and Peanut Curry. We searched ‘tofu’ and we got 11 recipe suggestions including this Vegan Tomato and Thyme Tart. We searched ‘ricotta’ and 24 recipes came up including these Easy Ricotta Gnocchi with Tomato Sugo and Fresh Basil.
Most Hill Street recipes are family friendly and use everyday ingredients you might already have in your pantry or refrigerator.
Give it a try – you’ll find it an inspirational timesaver, and it will help you waste less, too.
