How to reheat pizza in the oven … kitchen helper
Italy has been responsible for inventing a lot of wonderful things, but surely we can all agree that pizza is one of their greatest success stories. There’s nothing quite like a hot pizza straight from the oven with that wonderful combination of dough, toppings and cheese. If you have pizza leftovers you’ll probably know that the reheated version is never as good as the original. It’s quick and easy to reheat in the microwave but the trade off is soggy slices. Pizza reheated in the oven always ends up with dry dough and molten-hot cheese that burns your mouth … until now. Yes, we’ve got some tips to help you reheat pizza in the oven that will result in pizza perfection.
The first thing to do is to preheat the oven to 190C. Next line a baking tray with baking paper or aluminium foil and place in the preheated oven for a few minutes until the tray is hot. Heating the tray before adding the pizza means that any excess moisture from cold pizza will be quickly absorbed resulting in a nice crisp, but not dry, crust. Add the cold pizza to the tray and cook until the cheese is melted and bubbling and you will have perfectly reheated pizza.
