How to re-cork a bottle of wine … kitchen helper
Having a glass of wine in the evening can be a great way to unwind after a long day, but most of the time you won’t be polishing off a whole bottle of wine in one sitting. How do you keep the remaining wine from starting to turn to vinegar the next day?
Forget struggling with a stubborn cork that won't go back into the bottle, we've got an easy way to get the cork sliding in and out of the bottle with ease. If you still have the original cork on hand, be sure to inspect it for damages before inserting it into the bottle. Simply wrap the cork in waxed or grease-proof paper and it will slide in and out of the bottle with ease. Wax paper helps to reduce the friction and prevents cork pieces from falling in the bottle. After you have recorked your wine bottle, keep the bottle out of the light, store the bottle upright and refrigerate to prevent oxidation as much as possible.
