How to make your own icing sugar … kitchen helper
You’ve just baked an epic cake and you’re feeling super-proud of yourself. Now it’s time to ice and decorate it but wouldn’t you know it, you’re out of icing sugar. Don’t stress because you can make your own icing sugar at home. All you need to do is blitz some caster sugar in a food processor or if you’re feeling really energetic you can do it in a mortar and pestle. Blitz in bursts until the sugar resembles fine powder, noting that results will vary based on the efficiency of your food processor. If there are any coarse grains that remain after blitzing you can pass the powder through a fine sieve to remove them.
