How to make a great G&T … kitchen helper2.jpg

In honour of National Gin and Tonic Day tomorrow, this week’s kitchen helper is all about how to enjoy every sip of your favourite tipple. Lime is the perfect accompaniment to a glass of gin and tonic; we like to rub a lime wedge around the inside of a glass before mixing the drink. If you find that your limes are not very juicy you can pop them in the microwave for 5 to 10 seconds and this will help soften the lime to release more juice. The other tip that we have is to put your G&T glasses in the fridge for 30 minutes before you use them. Having a cold glass stops your ice cubes from melting too quickly and making your drink watery.
