How to get rid of smells in your fridge … kitchen helper

It’s happened to all of us, that moment of opening the fridge to discover that there’s something a bit whiffy inside. If your fridge is a bit on the nose, there’s a couple of things to do to banish those smells. Read on to discover them.

Bad smells in your fridge usually are the result of a food that is past its prime so its best to begin by cleaning out the fridge and tossing the offending item. Next, put a few drops of vanilla essence on a clean cloth and then wipe the shelves and interior surfaces with the vanilla-cloth. If the odour still lingers, you can soak a few cotton wool balls in vanilla and pop in the fridge overnight to absorb any lingering odour.
