How to cut whole pumpkin more easily … kitchen helper
Cutting a whole pumpkin can be a little scary; the hard exterior means you need a very sharp knife and a decent amount of strength to cut through it, so fears about injuring yourself are justified. Fortunately we’ve got a kitchen hack that will help make the job considerably easier and reduce the risk of sliced fingers.
Before cutting, use a knife to poke a few slits around the outside of the pumpkin skin. Next pop the whole pumpkin in the microwave for about five minutes. Microwaving will soften the skin slightly which means that the pumpkin will be much easier to cut.
