How to avoid cake sticking to the tin … kitchen helper
There’s nothing more frustrating when you’ve got your bake on and the cake you’ve made sticks to the tin. To avoid this happening try these tips.
1. Make sure that you are preparing the tin properly before adding the cake mix. Grease it thoroughly with butter or cooking spray and use baking paper to line the base and sides.
2. Always allow the cake to cool completely in the tin before trying to remove it. The cake shrinks and moves away from the sides of the tin as it cools, so a cooled cake is much easier to remove from the tin.
3. Run a palette knife around the edge of the tin to loosen the cake before turning it out.
