Valentine’s gifts that keep on giving… How to keep the romance alive throughout the year

With Valentine’s Day drawing to a close you might want to find some ways to keep the love growing throughout the year. We’ve got 3 great tips to help you keep the romance alive, read on to find out more.

1.     Embark on a project together – Sharing a common goal can bring couples together. Choose something you are both passionate about and work together to create something special. It might be plotting and planting out a veggie patch, building something with your hands, or learning a new language.

2.     Go remote – Spend time together away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Spending uninterrupted time together helps to build genuine, connected relationships. Challenge yourself to step outside of your comfort zone, if you usually holiday overseas opt for a low-key staycation somewhere closer to home, or if you usually enjoy a lavish hotel stay, mix it up by giving glamping a try. Creating moments through new shared experiences will give you lots of memories to revisit and cherish.

3.     Be spontaneous – Find small windows of time to appreciate each other. It doesn’t have to be a grand romantic gesture, just a small token of appreciation.  A warm cup of coffee in bed, a handwritten note or a spontaneous walk on the beach can say just as much as a fancy dinner or a flashy gift.

While Valentine’s Day is a great reminder to cherish the person you love it only comes around once a year. Make the most of the 364 days on the calendar, and show your partner you love them every day.
