We’re thrilled to be stocking a local player in this market – made right here in Hobart. Meet the Southern Ocean Soda Company range, chilling now at a Hill Street store near you.
Ok these aren’t “new in” … we’ve had them for a little while. Recently one of our team needed a refreshing cold drink after some thirsty work nearby and popped into Hill Street Sandy Bay. Looking for a low-sugar drink that was a little more interesting than plain mineral water, she spied these 300ml cans, made locally in Sandy Bay. We’ve all sampled them and can tell you they’re great!
These delicious drinks are tasty enough to stand alone, or if you do drink alcohol, they make a great mixer.
Using very Tasmanian sweet and savoury ingredients like pepperberry, sea salt and leatherwood honey, as well as the warmth of spices and the zing of lemons and limes, Southern Ocean Sodas are a sophisticated drink with a mere fraction of the sugar of a standard high-sugar soft drink.
Not only are they low-sugar, they don’t contain any nasties, artificial colours or flavours, weird-tasting sweeteners, and only contain natural ingredients and native flavours.

Their Lemon, Lime and Pepper Berry Crisp is just that, crisp and refreshing with a touch of pepperberry warmth.
They also make two cola versions, Dry Cola and Smoked Cola. They’re flavoured with spices, vanilla and citrus and in the case of the Smoked Cola, liquid smoke.
The Leatherwood Honey and Sea Salt soda is a sweet, then immediately dry soft drink for the discerning palette or a complement to unique spirits.
