Crystal Bay Jumbo Prawns are a fresh banana prawn and are a favourite of seafood lovers Australia-wide. They can be distinguished from tiger prawns by their pale pink colour; they also have a sweeter and lighter taste than tiger prawns, and a firm white flesh and crisp texture.
Australian Crystal Bay Prawns are carefully nurtured and grown on a remote North Queensland farm, nestled between National Park and the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef. The region has breathtaking views of Hinchinbrook Island, the largest island on the Great Barrier Reef. The predictable temperatures, and pristine seawaters are the perfect location for prawn farming.
Crystal Bay Prawns are produced using environmentally sustainable culture processes, state of the art processing facilities and support services in accordance with the international principles of sustainable aquaculture production.
