How to make Chocolate Fondue … and what to dip in it
The cooler months of autumn and winter are the ideal time to dig out that fondue pot that your great aunt gave you for a wedding present and put it to use. Sure, you can make cheese fondue and we fully support that decision, but savoury isn’t all your fondue pot is good for. No, that pot that you never thought you’d use can turn a couple of ingredients into dessert heaven, a.k.a chocolate fondue.
How to make Chocolate Fondue for Two
Add half a cup of finely chopped chocolate (your choice of white, milk or dark) to a fondue pot.
Heat ¾ cup thickened cream and a pinch of salt in a small saucepan over medium heat until it is nearly boiling, then pour the hot cream over the chocolate. Leave it to sit for 30 seconds, then stir until smooth and keep the fondue warm while you enjoy it with your choice of dippers.
