Every now and again you see a product and a penny drops. “How brilliant. Why didn’t someone think of this before?”, you ask. Ecokaps cleaning and hand soap products work on the clever principle of mixing your own cleaning products by popping in a dissolvable tablet of active ingredients into a reusable dispenser. They’re a revolution in how we use and transport everyday cleaning products around the world.
Not only does this concept save you throwing out plastic spray bottles each time you run out of surface spray or liquid soap and adding to the mounting problem of plastic waste in our environment, it also cuts down on transport and fuel costs: just purchase a bottle once and all you need to buy ongoing are the re-fill tablets.
Their product range includes a Multipurpose Cleaner, Kitchen Degreaser, Bathroom Cleaner and a Glass Cleaner. They also make Laundry Detergent Sheets – no more messy powder or large plastic bottles of laundry liquid to dispose of. One dissolvable sheet does up to an 8kg load.
Ecokaps products are economical too – with a pack of three refill tablets of Multipurpose Cleaner costing $8.80 and making 3 x 500mL bottles, this is a very cost-effective way to go. Best of all you’re not paying for water and the plastic container again and again. It’s a no-brainer really.
