We’ve just taken delivery of some very special product. Billed as the “Hottest thing out of the 80s” this chilli oil has cult status among those who like it hot.

Invented by the present owner’s grandmother Dulcie in the 1980s, and sold in markets in Adelaide in the early days, DC Cartel has gone east to Melbourne where it’s made to Dulcie’s traditional 40-year-old recipe.

Their ‘Original 1983’ Chilli Oil is small batch, vegan, handmade, gluten free and multi-award winning, taking out prizes nationally and internationally. It’s  hot stuff!!

There are lots of ways to use this chilli oil and before long you won’t be able to eat anything without it. Scrambled eggs? Put chilli oil on it.  Bowl of noodles? Just add chilli oil. Dumplings? Use it as a dipping sauce. Stir fry? Add it into the wok. Avocado toast? Much better with chilli oil. Potato wedges? You guessed it. Pour on the chilli oil.
