Four-ingredient Pineapple Puffs

Dessert doesn’t come any simpler than this. Using just four ingredients, you’ll be able to whip up a batch of these Pineapple Puffs in under 30 minutes. They’re great on their own but next level yummy with a scoop of your favourite ice cream!

What do I need?

  • 450 g can pineapple slices in syrup
  • 2 sheets ready rolled puff pastry
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup white sesame seeds

How do I make it?

  1. Preheat oven to 180C. 
  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  3. Drain pineapple slices and pat dry with paper towel.
  4. Cut pastry into 2 ½-centimetre wide strips.
  5. Starting from the centre of a pineapple slice, wrap a pastry strip around the pineapple slice, weaving in and out and leaving a 1-centimetre space between strips. Place end of pastry on the underside of the pineapple slice. 
  6. Repeat for remaining pineapple slices.
  7. Place wrapped pineapple slices on prepared baking tray, leaving a 5 centimetre gap between each slice.
  8. Brush slices with egg wash, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. 
  9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
