Eggnog Ice Cream

Bring Christmas cheer to your table with this luxuriously creamy Eggnog Ice Cream. Infused with warm notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a splash of vanilla, it captures the nostalgic flavour of classic eggnog in frozen form. Best of all, it’s a no-churn recipe—simply whip, fold, and freeze for a festive treat that’s as easy to make as it is indulgent to eat.

How long will it take?

15 minutes, plus freezing time

What’s the serving size?

Serves 6

What do I need?

  • 2 cups cream
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup prepared eggnog*
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg, plus extra for sprinkling
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Optional

  • 2 tbsp dark rum or bourbon

How do I make it?

  1. Whip cream with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together condensed milk, eggnog, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla and rum/bourbon if using.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the eggnog mixture until fully combined, being careful not to deflate the cream.
  4. Pour into a freezer-safe container, smooth the top, and cover. Freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight, until scoopable.
  5. Serve dusted with nutmeg and garnished with a cinnamon stick for a festive look.
