Our long-time customers will remember the grand opening of our New Town in 2011. The store has served us and our customers well for 15 years but it’s time for a makeover!

Well, a bit more than a makeover. We’re effectively gutting the store and replacing most of the fit out. Some of the highlights of the renovation will include:

• Increased floor space
• A more spacious entrance
• An updated store look and experience in line with some of our newer or renovated stores
• An expanded deli offering including hot food
• A new checkout layout
• Expanded 'Grab & Go' food offering (quiches, cakes, sushi and salads)
• Modern and sleek deli, refrigeration and freezer cabinets.

We’re very excited!

To achieve all this in as short a time as possible Hill Street New Town will close from 7.30 pm on Sunday 12 April and reopen on Saturday 2 May at 7.30 am.
 

We apologise to our Hill Street New Town customers and hope you will LOVE your new store when it reopens on 2 May.

Please note that some grocery lines may be run down by our last day of trade on Sunday 12 April, in preparation for our team to empty the store so that the builders can move in.

Of course we would love to see you at our nearest store, Hill Street West Hobart, or any of our other stores, during the closure, and we’ll be offering Hill Street New Town Go Rewards Loyalty Members some special bonus points offers to make up for the inconvenience. Keep an eye on your emails and socials for details on this as they become available.

Hill Street New Town’s Grand Opening on Saturday 2 May will include some great in-store specials and a sausage sizzle manned by our kitchen and butchery team from Wursthaus in Cambridge, who will also have lots of their delicious products for you to try.
