Breakfast time just got a little bit tastier in our jam and spreads section. Petcheys Bay’s Will Brubacher, of organic blueberry growing fame, also grows strawberries and his Sunday Hill Strawberry Jam is delicious. Containing only organic strawberries and sugar, his jam is jewel-bright and just the right consistency for spreading on toast and dolloping on scones.

Evie’s Choice is a range of jams made by the Steenholdt family in Geeveston. Growers of organic fruit, especially apples, since 1977, their range is beautifully labelled and includes Raspberry and Apple, Strawberry and Apple, Seville Orange Marmalade, Traditional Raspberry and Traditional Strawberry.

Sweet Meadow, New Zealand’s Manuka Honey and White Clover Creamed Honey are also nicely packaged. The dark, rich and distinctive flavoured Manuka Honey is sourced from the white blossom of the manuka or tea tree and is know as the “healing honey”.

Those with gluten intolerance can enjoy a vegemite-style spread called Aussie Mite. Australian-owned it is suitable for diabetics and vegetarians, is GM and gluten-free.

We have stocked Carman’s muesli for years and it just keeps getting better. In new cardboard packaging the range of muesli includes a new Deluxe Fruit Muesli which is a gluten free-combination of toasted rice flakes, puffed rice, honey, cinnamon, nuts and dried fruit. Carman’s muesli bars are also delicious and packed with wholegrains and fruit.
